Hello, my name is Ann Moy and I have had the privilege to own, train and love Border Collies since 1987. My first Border Collie was an exceptional dog named Clancy (Ulara Lignite Luke UD). He was a highly motivated, intelligent chocolate and white Border Collie, with great temperament and many capabilities. Broken into work sheep at a young age, I found my love was in the obedience trial ring. Although, never titled in Agility, Tracking or Show, (Clancy has a couple of Agility Trophies in the cupboard, a Test Track Certificate, and 50 points towards a Championship!), Clancy was very capable of achieving both titles easily if I had ever got around to it! He ran the agility course for the Pal Super dogs, and had many a fan in the crowd. He also took out BOB and BAWD in the few shows that I had him entered. He is a father and a grandfather to many great Border Collies of today.
My sister (Lyn Fuller) began the prefix with Clancys mother Jenna (Tallandoone Heather CD) however after her first child, Lyn found that her interests changed and she gave me the prefix to continue the Ulara name. As my own children grew up they joined in my activities of the dog world and began to do Junior Handers. My youngest daughter, Michelle then asked if she could get herself a dog. Her first choice was in the hound group, which to me was not the type of breed I wanted, so I suggested to look within the Working category, and this is how I then came to be involved with Bearded Collies. So in 1994 began my involvement with the Bearded Collie. Her name was Storm, (Ruatha Stormy Weather CDX JD AD), and she was and still is today one of the smartest little beardies I have ever met. I was charmed completely by the breed and will always have a bearded collie (or two) in my yard!
I have 9 dogs living with me currently - Tommy ( Ch Ulara Tommy Lee CDX JD ET HT) (13 this year Beardie), Bailey (Ulara Red Suede Shoes UD HSAs)(13 this year and still standing at stud Border Collie) Sabastian, Trinity (Ulara the Oracle HSAs) (Border Collie), Demmi(Stylyn Xkwisit HSAs) (bearded Collie) & Twist (working sheepdog – Herding Ch Delolea Twist HXAs HXBs HXAd HABd)Jinnie (Cate Lady N Darkness of Ohutu HIBsd HIAsd) and our two new additions Spats (Ulara Oh Mr Spats) and Jet (Ulara Jet) and 3 cats – Tyson, Shelly & Isabella. A little more on them will be found if you have a look through this site. I hope you enjoy your reading and as you will find out I not only have pretty faces I also have dogs that can work. My passions over the years have changed and I am now fully focased on working sheep. My friends call my new passion 'Shogging' as they never see me unless Im out on a feild with the sheep and my dogs.
