“Molly” is the much loved dog of Brian and Shirley Young. At the age of 10 weeks she was flown over to begin her new life in the outback town of Cue in Western Australia and became the companion to her devoted “new family” and the many new friends she made in their service station.
Despite the remote location Molly was able to very quickly learn obedience taught at home and then progress to attend several obedience trials in Geraldton (some 450 kms away), all of which she passed with a score of second or first in her class. She achieved her CD title after her third trial well before she was 2 years old. Unfortunately due to location and other commitments Molly did not compete in any further trials however she has continued to learn much and is a pleasure to have around.
A well traveled dog, Molly has since lived in Broome (enjoying life swimming at Cable
Beach) and in Perth, which was a bit too cold for us all ! Recently she enjoyed a trip around Australia. Eleven years old this year, it was a great time for this grey nomad to see the country.
Molly’s new home is in Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. Many more adventures are sure to come her way as we enjoy the outback together.
*Brian and Shirl from the day they took care of little Molly, would send me pictures of her every Christmas. They were and are what any breeder would wish for in an owner for my darling pups. Molly passed away in 2008 and has gone to Rainbow Bridge.
My deepest and most comforting thoughts to Brian and Shirl as I know you will miss your girl.
