Ranger (Ulara Oh Mr Hart) is owned by my eldest daughter (Katrina) Scot her husband and family. Katrina said to me the other day. "You know mum, you always said to me that one of the main things when breeding your Border Collies that you strive for is that they have a good temperament" She then said to me, "I really didn’t know or think about it until we got Ranger. He is just the best dog we ever could have got. He has got a great temperament. You really do have nice dogs mum". I was quite proud of that when she said it to me:) Ranger has also shown me that he can work sheep so maybe in the near future I might borrow him from his family and take him out to trial.
I very much doubt that will be shown or trialled, so there will probably be no titles unless I take him out to get them, but this is not what its all about to me. I believe that a good dog can go to a good family and be loved, they do not all have to be titled or worked to be that special dog. Ranger role is to be there for his family, to be loved and to give love.
