Bailey returned to my home after living with another family from a puppy, in 2001. I had seen him a few times out and about with his owner, and recall the first time I saw him after he had become an adult dog. "I walked onto a field of dogs, and there in the distance was this beautiful red Border Collie. I thought to myself, I wish one day that I could breed a dog as beautiful as this! Cathy, who owned him at the time looked at me and said, 'Hello Ann' . Well you could have knocked me down with a feather! I was so chuffed, I had bred this dog!!
Bailey has the most lovely temperment, and is a very very good looking red and white Border Collie. This is not where it stops though! Bailey is certainly not just a pretty face - the first year he was home, he obtained his Novice title, and the second year, his Open, and UD in the third year of being here.
He is an exceptional herding dog and I only wish I had of realised this earlier than last year! One more pass for his HSAs and last trial High In Trial! He loves flyball and also is my 'red Astaire' when it comes to dancing!
It was a twist of fate that I got him back, but I thank my lucky stars, as he has been a pleasure to live with.
